Imovie question

I recorded a concert onto a digital camera. I took the card from the camera and inserted it into the macbook pro, and it brought up Iphoto and imported everything into there. I can play the video in Iphoto but have no controls. I tried to import the video from iphoto to imovie, and I get sound but no video. I tried importing straight from the card into imovie, again sound but no video. Are there adjustments I can make to play it in imovie?

Find the video in /YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Movies/ and find the video and copy it to your desktop. Make sure you change the file from a .m4v to a .mp4. This way Quicktime will open that file so you can do with it whatever you want.
