I stupidly put a whole clip in the trash in imovie and then lost the connection to my external hard drive. when I reconnected, the clip is missing from my media file. I suspect it is in my imovie 4 trash as there is still 1.6G in it and the clip was only 835 M. Any ideas how to retrieve it. I have reparied all permissions etc. and searched the disk for orphaned, hidden, and any other type of illegit file type and found nothing. Unfortunately, when I click on the trash file it only gives me the option to empty it, not see what is inside it. As I put the whole clip in there is no portion to restore. Basically, this is why I use FCP.
