Import OE Addresses into OSX AddressBook app?

Does anyone have any thoughts about how to import addresses from Outlook Express 5.x into the OSXPB AddressBook application? I can't believe they even released a Beta version without this functionality. The darn thing isn't even AppleScript-able, or I'd do it that way.

If anyone has any ideas, let me know. If I even had good info about how to write files in AddressBook-compatible format, I'd write a quickie C (Classic domain!) program to do it.

It bothers me too.. I hand-copied them.. (not a very fast way)..
Apple's Knowledge Base said they are aware of the lack of "this important feature" and that it would be available in the future releases.
