I have an old iPhoto Library in iPhoto 2 version 2.0.1 on a powerbook running OS X 10.3 and am trying to import it into my new macbook running 10.5 with iPhoto '08 7.1 (347) . I googled around a bit, and one suggestion was to remove remove the "iPhoto Library" directory in Pictures and put the old iPhoto Library directory in there and the restart iPhoto. I did this, and got a message along the lines of "Do you want to upgrade the older version of the iPhoto Library?" hich looked encouraging so I clicked OK.

The import proceeded for a few seconds before raising the warning:

> 6288 photos have been found in the iPhoto Library that are not a part
> of this photo library. Would you like to import them?

I said yes again and the photos were imported, but all of the photos were placed in a "Recovered Photo" Album, my other albums are listed under Albums there but there are no pictures in them, and all of my edits (rotate photo, remove red eye, etc) have been lost.

Is there a way for me to import the old library and not lose all of this information?

Thanks,
JDH
