InDesign CS3 freezes

I did a search and didn't see anything about this, so I thought I would ask this question.

I have a MacBook Pro with 10.5.3 running Adobe CS3. When I try and open a file from InDesign from the finder (double click in a folder), InDesign will freeze up and I have to do a Force Quit to close it. Unfortunately, this problem is intermittent and doesn't happen all the time, but probably once a day.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
 
Are you opening files on a server or your local machine?

Have you repaired permissions and restarted yet?
