Inserting video into Dreamweaver

I received a DVD to insert on the web. I already have a video on the page, working fine, but it was an .mpeg format. This new video is in a DVD format (my dvd player automatically opens it). I cannot locate .mpeg file. The suffixes are new to me. I use 10.3.

I was told I have to convert DVD to .mpeg. Is that the answer to the problem? If so, what program do I need?

Appreciate any help.

I use DiVA, haven't ripped a DVD in a LONG time though. But DiVA ripped them fine, you might have to convert the audio from AC3 to aiff, then add that to the movie. I'm sure there are other ways.

As far as for the web... i use the sorenson3 codec, just my own personal choice.
