I have a iMac rev C and i would like to check out the macosx beta. But i dont have any empty partitions to install on and i do not wish to format the whole disc. Are there anyway you can install without doing any partitions?

Yup, it can install over your MacOS 9 (it doesn't delete anything). I had the same problem you did and I just installed over it.
The probability of installer not working is extremely low, since you have a nice fully-Apple built iMac. Just make sure you run the firmware update (on http://asu.info.apple.com/). It worked real smooth for me.
 
i have an other problem too... :(
The multi-language firmware update (i have a swedish system) from apple only supports the newer iMacs, with slot-loading cd-drives.
This question may not belong here, but what should i do?
