"Installed User-Base?"

Good morning,
In '95, MacUser magazine reported that there were (at the time) 20 million Mac users worldwide, compared to over 300 million Pee Cee users. The industry likes to use the hokey term, "installed user-base" to describe the population of users of a particular platform.

What are today's figures? # of Mac users, vs. # of PC users...

Yes, there are those who use both, so I'll qualify the question to be those who consider their primary computer as Mac or PC or Linux or other.

Cheers!

Well I go back to the 80's when Apple had 15-20% user share.

Everything since then has been the echoes of opportunities lost due to hubris.
