installed xclean now it wont let me store things in the trash

Hi i recently installed xclean and now it wont let me store things in the trash it just deletes them how can i fix it to where i can store things in the trash again thanks. sorry for all my posts im new to mac
 
Well it sounds like this 'paid" shareware has "permissions" problems. So launch /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility and do a "Repair Permissions" on your OS X startup drive. It will take a while but hopefully it will fix the problem.
 
1. Why is it necessary to have something like that--which has not been updated in nearly 4 years--when you have Secure Empty Trash?

2. Can you kindly proof-read to include capitalization? Renders it post easier to read.
