Does anyone know a way to install OS X.2 from a network? the cd drive on my iMac is broken (discs are almost immediately ejected after they are inserted).
 
I think you could use FireWire Disk Mode, if iMacs can do that. Does anybody know if it's possible for iMac disks to be mounted on another Mac's Desktop?
 
It's worth a shot. Shut down your iMac and connect it to another iMac via a firewire cable. Then press your Power button on your iMac and hold down your "T" key until the FireWire logo shows up on your iMac's screen. You should now be able to see the iMac's hard disk on your other Mac.
