Installing a Midi Device

Hello. I am a totally new Mac user. I tried to install my USB MIDI keyboard but i have no idea what to expect. I plugged it in, powered it up and i could see it in the hardware profile but not in the audio/midi setup. Is there anything else i have to do to activate it?
 
Hi, what make and model of keyboard is it? And also, what system version are you running on? (Apple Menu: About This Mac)
