Installing Classic Mode

I recently got one of the lastest G4's and I don't have classic mode installed! What would be the best way to install it?
I have a bunch of CD's that came with an iMac purchased about 9 months ago. Could I install classic mode from these CD's???

Thanks ;)

If you've got a really new machine then you won't be able to boot from os9 but you'll be able to use classic.

I have kinda the same issue. I have a new duel processor g4 and I was having problems installing some HP printer software and long story short, trashed my OS9 System folder with the intention of re-installing it. Problem being, my new G4 won't start-up in OS9 and the OS9 install disk is written in classic (which I no longer have on my 'puter) ... now what?

Yes, Can't start from CD.

So far as I know the newer generation of g4's, which I have, will not start-up under OS9 at all, but will run classic under OSX.

That said, how do i get it back?

Wow, that could be a problem if you need Classic to run the installer for OS 9 because it only runs in OS 9... that's quite a conundrum. I recommend, if possible, "borrowing" someone else's Classic folder and installing your own. Basically you copy someone's OS 9 folder (as long as it can run as Classic—there are certain things you need for this) and put it on your drive. Then you make sure you can start Classic, and if you can you then install your own version of OS 9.
