I just got my Mac working again... The stock HD in it died... Anyways, Mac OS X is back in buisness and all the update and patches are installed. Now when I try to install MS Media Player, I get this error message :

Error creating files
1008:5-35 Drive Not Found!

Anyone knows anything about how to fix this?

iMac 350, 320Mb RAM, 10G HD, OS X.1.5
The drive is formatted in UFS.

Cheers,
Matt

The problem is that your drive is formatted with UFS. You'll run into some problems installing applications such as MS Windows Media Player. These applications needs to be installed onto HFS+ formatted disk.

UFS formatted disk appears as network disk to certain applications therefore won't install on it.

Sorry, but you should format you disk HFS+ unless you really need to use UFS.

lol @ not using M$ products :p

most apps say that they need an HFS+ partition.
I wonder how come apple did not make a better filesystem that was compatible with HFS+ when they made macos x though....
