Yah, jsut download the package installer from the link given above, and it becomes just another standard install. pretty cool.
If you have no mysql experience, well, i dont really know any good places to start at. I learned the basics of it at my job a while back, it's really not too difficult. but i had someone to teach it to me and answer my questions when I had them.

it talks about how to setup mysql so that it requires a password to connect. you want to be absolutely sure ytou do that.
