Installing Nvidia Quadro FX4500 PCI-Express on my late model Power Mac G5

I've never joined a forum before, but I'm a Mac novice and I bought a 512mb Nvidia Quadro FX4500 PCI-E Graphic card #631-0110 for my late model Power Mac G5 2.0 Dual core. Could someone please tell me what operating system I need to use this card? I'm running OS X 10.4.11, but I can't find any drivers for the card. I believe the highest upgrade available for my machine is OS X 10.5.8. I would gladly upgrade to that operating system if I had to but before I do I'd like to know if the card will work with the operating system I have now and most of all I want to be positive that this card is compatable with my computer, no matter what operating system I install. Looking forward to receiving a response as this is my first experience using a forum, and being a Mac novice this is a pretty big endeavor for me. Give a newbie a hand. Thank you in advance, Pete

Assuming that you have a Quadro FX4500 that was sold for the Mac, then try it out.
The drivers are a standard part of your OS X 10.4 system, especially as yours is updated to current 10.4.11
Again, if the video card was originally sold as a Mac card, you will be OK.

Thanks DeltaMac,
I haven't tried it out yet, but I think I will. There are quite a few different part #'s for the Nvidia Quadro FX4500. Your reply gave me what I hope will be a simple solution to my query. I'll go to Apple's website and see if my part# (631-0110) is in their inventory for sale, but that still leaves me unsure as to whether it is compatible with my operating system (10.4.11). Do you think I could remove my original Nvidia 6600 LE in pci-e #1 and install the Quadro FX4500 in it's place and then put the 6600 Le in slot #3? Slot 1 is 16-lane (16X) and slot 3 is 8-lane (8X). Being a novice at blogs or forums I wasn't sure if anyone would reply. I appreciate the help you've given me. Pete
