Installing OS 9 after Jaguar

Hi. I just installed Jaguar on my iMac. I formated my HD and even made a special partition for OS9, but now, when I try to install it (booting from OS9 CD), it can't see the partitions I made and says I have to format my HD again.

Does anybody know what am I doing wrong?

When you partitioned your drive did you select the option to include OS 9 driver? This is most likely the case.
