In my household we have 2 PowerMacs. My sister just got a brand new one with Tiger. I still have 10.3.9. I tried to install Tiger on my computer with the CDs that came with hers and it told me "You cannot install Tiger on this computer." Straight up. Okay, but now...how do I do it anyway?

What's the process to getting around this?

Are you using the restore discs or a separate Tiger disc? It might be specific to her model.

Buy a copy of the Tiger installation DVD.

Firstly the disc that came with your sister's Mac will be specific to that model. Secondly, and more importantly it is only licenced for one machine so even if you could get it to install you would have an unlicenced copy which is not legal.
