installing Xfree86/XDarwin... unix newbie

I installed Xfree86 and XDarwin last night but every time it is launched it quits after a few seconds when I choose "rootless" or "full screen" mode....

I think my versions that I installed arent' compatible or something...

XDarwin 1.0.6.0

Xfree86 4.2.0

Anyways... how do I "uninstall" without having to reinstall the OS?
I feel like I have a bunch of junk just laying around my system wasting space... I'd like to try again

Get the newest version of XDarwin and everything should be good. Try looking at versiontracker or sourceforge for xdarwin.

I got it to work...the latest package from sourceforge had a wonderful installer package for XDarwin and XFree86 in one nice GUI installer....thanks for the tip!

now if i can only get Fink to work correctly....!
