Intel iMac and Epson R200

Hi,
I'm having problems with my Intel iMac direct printing on cd's with my Epson Stylus R200 printer. It keeps spitting the tray back out. Instead of printing.

It prints paper just fine. I'm using the latest OS X(obviously) which ships with drivers for the R200. I tried Epson's site and couldnt tell if there was a newer driver.

This printer works on my Windoze machines just fine (I'm a switcher, from a LONG association with Windoze, and I love this mac).

I'm not using the Epson print software, or the Epson Print CD software (it requires a disk that they can mail to me for a UB version). THere are a number of UB solutions available. I've tried two.

The printer can be finicky with the order of trays opening and powering on. I've tried a number of combinations, as well as the way recomended by Epson.

After hitting the print button, the printer head shoots across once, and then it spits out the tray.

If anybody has an Intel Mac and this Printer, have you tried printing a CD?

I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

Thanks.

Well, tech support from Epson sent me generic form letter answer for a different product. I would recommend against buying this printer if you own and Intel iMac, run OsX10.4 and want to print on CD's.

I guess I'll do my CD print work on my Winblows machine. That really sucks. Until this, my mac experience has been fantastic, but it's cheaper to go out and buy another printer that prints to CDs and is KNOWN to work for my computer, instead of wasting any more of my time trouble shooting this.

Oh well, what did I expect for a 100 bucks? It was funny, I was showing a PC guy how great my mac was, and how printing this would be a breeze also...

compatablilty? right. support? right. Not from EPSON. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER.
