Intellimouse - will there be software?

I checked out today the new Wireless Intellimouse and it was awesome. I wish it were a bit smaller, but I think I want one. Feel is incredible. Anyone know if Microsoft is planning on releasing software for it for programming the buttons? Or USB Overdrive. What ever happened to that? Either or, but neither seems to be forthcoming. I have a Kensington Mouse In A Box Optical, and though nice, I am not in love with the feel, plus even though Kensington has drivers for OS X, they are of no use to me. What I wanted was to assign paste to the wheel click. Doesn't have it. I can speed up the mouse with the Turbo Mouse drive no problem.

This is getting frustrating. :(
 
u don't need the drivers if u use x, you got the wheel and second mouse button working ok
