Interfacing a Video Camera With An Imac G5

I recently purchased an iMAC G5. While it has both a firewire port and several USB 2.0 ports, the setup leads me to believe that the system will only accept input from a digital video camera through the firewire port, not the USB 2.0 ports. I have a Samsung digital camera, which does not have an IEEE 1394 output port. I had been using it with the DAZZLE USB/video converter to take the component audio/video, and input it via the USB port of my old Compaq laptop. My question is - is there anyway/device which allows for the input of digital video information into an iMAC G5 computer OTHER THAN through the firewire port???

All digital video cameras should have an IEEE 1394 interface. On some cameras it is called "i-Link" though. This is by far the best way to connect the camera.
