Just a question about my g4 running osX through a proxy server. My internet connection consists of a Windows 2000 machine on DSL running WinProxy 5.0 connected through a 100 network hub. I have another windows 98 machine connected to the hub also accessing the internet. The problem is that my G4/OSX/320MB is quite a bit slower accessing web pages than the 98 machine sitting right next to it. I also notice that if my Win98 machine is not on, then my Mac/IE 5.1 has trouble accessing the internet. Ping times to the proxy server on the Win98 machine are <10ms and ping times on the G4 average between .5ms and .8ms when using terminal. Any suggestions????
