hi
running a MacBook Pro, 10.4.8
The Internet COnnect application is misbehaving (I believe it
has always done so - this is not my machine, it belongs
to a friend who I am trying to help).
When you select an External Model Dial Up configuration
from the Menu, the configuration information it selects
comes from the previous Configuraiton in the menu.
Thus, if one has configurations
ISP 1
name : abc
numer : 123
ISP 2
name : xyz
number : 987
Then selecting ISP2 from the menu would actually present
the name and number from ISP 1 (abc/123). So the only
way to make it work is to create dummy entries !
I cant find anything about this problem with Google or forums.
My own Powerbook G4 (10.4.9) does not suffer from this.
Is this an Intel issue I wonder. It seems SO gross a problem
that it must be something other than a simple application
software error
thanks
