Internet Connection Question

Hello!

When I first got my iBook I accidentally changed a setting. I made it so a pop up comes up after each hour I am connected to the Internet. It asks me if I want to stay connected... this is getting REALLY annoying! If it pops up while I am typing, I accidentally disconnect myself...

FOR THE LIFE OF ME, I can't find where I changed this setting!!! Can anybody help me?

what kind of connection are you using : dial up, adsl or ?
which OS are we talking about ?

More info will get you a faster answer, my guess is that you should check your tcp/ip settings under OS 9

Try and use the search feature of this forum you might find the answer as well
 
There should be a "prompt every ____ minutes to stay connected" option in the Internet Connect app in your Applications folder.
 
Incase anyone else has this annoying problem... here's the solution!

OSX 10.4.2

Apple Menu > System Preferences > Network > Select Your Modem > Click
Configure > Click PPP Options > Uncheck "Prompt every __ minutes to
maintain connection
