Internet Explorer problems

Internet Explorer works in the original user account. But when I make a new account it doesnt load up. Just looks like its loading forever. I have tried downloading it again. Anyone had this problem, with software not working in new user accounts? I have MaxOSx
 
In the diskname/Library/Preferences folder (not your home directory), is there any plist file for your ie? Is the InternetExplorer.app located in the diskname/Applications folder? Is the alias on your dock set correctly? How is it with other web browsers such as safari or firefox?
Btw, there are 5 different versions of "MacOSx": 10.0, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3, 10.4 Would be good to know which one you are using. ;)
 
The internet explorer is in the main Applications folder. I have tried loading it directly from there as well as Dock. I dont know anything about macs, its been about 7 years since I have used one and i have never owned one before. Windows seems to have so many options for me to check but macs dont seem to have much! I am stuck!
 
I think at this point windows would give you no alternatives but reinstalling the system. At Macs you can still try to find the plist file in the Preferences folder. Any luck with that? Maybe you simply copy the plist from your home/Library/Preferences into the diskname/Library/Preferences folder. The file should be called similar to this:
com.microsoft.internetexplorer.plist or so.
 
In your User folder;

Library>preferences

Drag the Explorer folder to the Desktop

Trash the IE application folder, restart and install IE again and see if it works.
If it does, you can take your Favorites.html out of the Explorer folder on the Desktop and put in the new Explorer folder in user>library>preferences
 
I have done what Zammy-Sam said, I found the Plist and copied it into my preferences folder. Still doing the same thing though! Thanks for the advice though, I am learning a lot about where things are.
