I recently switched to MAC and the DIY websites I have designed no longer allow me to use the WYSIWYG editor cuz it only works with Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher.

Is there a plug-in or download that lets a version of IE 5.5 or higher run on a MAC?

Many Thanks!!!!

Unfortunately, they are probably requiring IE on Windows due to the editor probably being an ActiveX plugin which only works on Windows. There was never a 5.5 version of IE on the Mac. Only 5.1.x on OS 9 and 5.2.x on OS X.

The other thing you could try is using a standalone WYSIWYG HTML editor like Nvu. Then you could still use Safari/Firefox/<insert-favorite-browser> as IE on the Mac has not been in development for some time.

either way, it's not the same program. that WYSIWYG editor requires the horrid activeX controllers that only widows can run.

XP through either boot camp or parallels will do the trick on this one.
