invisible cursor

My cursor goes invisible sometimes?... i have a wireless mouse... i have a Mac
Computer..OS X Version 10.6.8.....Can anyone help with this problem?.. thank you...
 
Does it happen while you're typing?

Under what circumstances does the cursor disappear? What apps does this happen in? When does it happen -- periodically, sporadically, or under certain conditions?
