We have a new Iomega NAS file server. I am on OS 9, and can mount the volumes properly.
When I open Virtual PC with Windows 98 and mount the same volume, I can immediately see two folders that are invisible on the Mac: "Network Trash Folder" and "TheVolumeSettingsFolder". When I turn "Show all files" on in Folder Options in Windows, I can see another folder called ".AppleDouble".
Additionally, each and every folder with a custom folder icon contains an "Icon" file that shows up in Windows. (See screenshot for an idea.)
How can I work around this? There must be a way to make Windows files invisible. If I somehow accomplish this, will it screw up the Mac side?
