IP address in OSX Server httpd access_log

The %a, %A, and %h variables in my Custom Log for MacOS X Server 10.1.1 all return the ip number of the server itself. Any ideas as to what may be causing this?

iMac running MacOS X server 10 user, I'm using the server as a proxy server but the logs are useless without the ip address of the connecting host.

I found that "Enable Performance Cache" needed to be turned off before the logs reflected the proper IP addresses. I'm betting this is a bug.
