IP telephony and Mac OS X ?

Any news on IP telephony on Mac OS X ?
Telephony hasn't been one of the Macs strong points in recent years...
Does anybody kow if it's at all possible on (MacOS) X ?
That is, are there any apps for it out there ?
 
Do you mean to call somebody on the net? i have a program like that ! :),,,it´s called "Empower Pro Phone" really cool!

thank you for your replies. Well, DialPad doesn't really work too well and anyway, the company seems to be bankrupt.
"Empower Pro Phone" is nice but lets you only connect with other Mac users (which is a good start but not what I've been looking for).
I actually found this programme that does what I want (make calls over the internet) :

The app is called NetFone and works very well...
 
I fouund that yesterday when i was looking for some sofwarer hehe ....i found it moore efective than snaptalk because you can chat and call soemone!...and i think it was for pc too!
