I just purchased the latest MacBookPro and am struggling with importing pictures from an external drive. The drive had been hooked up to my old G4 PowerMac (OS 10.3.9) for the last several years, so everything had been saved there via iPhoto 2.0.1
On my new mac, I opened iPhoto 08 using alt-option+click to allow me to choose the library from the external drive. [After changing the permissive settings on the drive, I was able to "see" the iPhoto package there, and] when I opened it, all of the albums loaded in but none of the pictures did.
Still works fine loading the library up from the old PowerMac.
I appreciate any thoughts!
