Whenever I try and open iPhoto, a message saying 'the application iPhoto quit unexpectedly'. I have googled this phrase and found a string from a user with similar problem on this forum.
http://macosx.com/tech-support/mac/iphoto/4681.html
Unfortunately, I tried all the suggestions in this string including multiple reinstallations from the bundled software disc of the software but nothing works. I've tried repairing permissions, deleting the file com.apple.iphoto.plist in preferences. I've deleted and recreated the iphoto folder in PICTURES etc. etc.
I am using a MacBook Pro which is 6 months old. The only thing that I can think off is that a while back I uninstalled various bundled software packages that came with Mac OS X that I thought I wouldn't need to free up disc space. I can't remember which ones unfortunately however I can't see why this would affect iPhoto if I've reinstalled it and updated it.
Please help since I've reached the end of the road on this one. I don't want to reinstall Mac OS X by the way.
Best wishes Eugene
