Hi,
my iphoto app is opening with a blank Iphoto page and with the WOD.
I have done some troubleshooting already including:
Repair permissions through Disk Utility and Verify the Disk as I had read this was a good place to start.
I have held Option whilst opening Iphoto and have created a second library, iphoto opened fine however obviously without any of my images. At least it has shown me that Iphoto is working and has suggested that it is a file corruption issue.
I also read a suggestion to move the iphoto library from pictures to the desktop and to gradually bring each folder back, open Iphoto again at each point and identify which folder may be corrupted.
I started to do this however hit a roadblock at moving the files, the iphoto library link in HD pictures is a dead end. There is no triangle next to it indicating that it goes anywhere.
I have searched for the images in the HD through the "Search for", "All Images" folder. It brings up all of my images, if I click on any it shows the location of each image as being in pictures/iphoto library/data etc but if I try to get through this manually as i said, the link is not working.
Why has this happened and how do I open the link up again?
I am at least breathing a sigh of relief that the images appear to be in the system, I have majority backed up but would lose some recent images if I can't fix this.
