iPhoto doesn't work right for me. I fear I may have lost some of my digital photographs forever.
It's version 4.0.3. Supplied with my Mac when I got it in 2004 - I've upgraded my Mac to Tiger since then but have not upgrade iLife.
Basically, a lot of my photos seem to be 'missing'.
(I'm not sure how this happened. Two (or three?) months after I got my Mac I was sick of having the hard disk pre-partioned in two so I backed up everything to CD-ROM and started from a fresh, single partion.)
When the photo is 'there', I can double-click on the thumbnail from the Photo Library window and the photo will appear; I can also drag from the photo from the window onto the desktop and it's there. Unfortunately with the 'missing' photographs, clicking on the thumbnails leads to a blank screen of brushed metal, and I cannot drag those photos onto the desktop.
I'm really a bit upset, some of the those photos I'm not sure I've backed-up since iPhoto went wonky. ;(
