Hoping someone can help me.

Mac OSx 10.4.7
1.83 GHz Intel Core duo
512 MB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

iphoto 6.0.6

I recently had the hard drive replaced by Apple. Now when I try to open iphoto, it says "rebuilding thumbnail caches" and then crashes.

Any suggestions?

(**I should add that safari and firefox both crash when opening certain pages. And entourage crashed when I tried to open a picture attachment.)

Here is the message I get when trying to open iphoto:

Try trashing com.apple.quicktime.plist in /users/<you>/library/preferences. If that doesn't work, try reinstalling Quicktime.

Also, try creating a new iPhoto library by holding option on startup, and delete iPhoto's preference file.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to update to the latest version of OS X.

Thanks Eric. I took it up to Genius Bar. When they put the new hard drive in, it gave me all the original versions of everything that was on my computer when I bought it. So after lots of software updates, I'm good to go! Not sure why they didn't do this in the first place though.
