Iphoto how to create path to external.

I got a new external drive, got all of my photos over there (lacie 1tb), but when I import the photos it wants to put the photos on both of the drives instead of the external alone. What should I do? I only want the photos/videos to be saved to the lacie. thank you.

Open iPhoto holding down the option key. It should ask you which library to open -- select the one on your external drive.
