iPhoto, iDvd, Garageband not loading

I just upgraded to 160GB of hard drive, had it installed, and my old 60GB HD put in an external enclosure. I also had my memory upgraded by 1GB. I have a iBook G4, 2006.
I proceeded to reload Mac OS X on the new drive, then did the transfer of my "old mac" to my "new mac". Then I updated all the software updates that came up on checks, including OS X updates and iTunes...which made my iTunes work and other programs I had on my "old mac". Now, iPhoto, iDVD, and garageband still don't open. They bounce one time and then nothing. It appears all my photos and music files are on the "new mac", do I need some other updates? And where do I find them? Any suggestions?

What does this mean? Drag-and-drop copy? Restore from Time Machine? Use Migration Assistant?

Have you tried simply reinstalling those programs from the iLife install DVD?

Thanks for the responses....
I don't have iLife. Everything on my "old mac" was done from the original install discs from 2006 that came with my iBook. So I installed the discs on the new drive, and then picked the "transfer" option and it moved everything from my old mac. I have since tried reinstalling from the discs, just these 3 applications. The iPhoto is now working, but says I can't load my library because my library is in a newer version of iPhoto. Using software update I updated iPhoto, now it is at 6.0.6. But my library is 7.1.5. I can't find anywhere to get iPhoto 7 online, and it won't let me use update 7.1.5. , saying there is no eligible iPhoto in applications. I am assuming you have to have iPhoto 7 first, but I have iPhoto 7 on my old mac, and I didn't buy it or get from a disc, only from updating over the last 3 years when they came up. So where can I get iPhoto 7 now?
AND iDVD and Garageband still aren't opening at all.
IF I use the option key and boot from my external drive, everything works fine off my old mac... just not on the new drive.
What do you think?
