I have the weirdest problem. It started when I was readying an order for my iPhotos. My two year old son pushed the power button on my external Lacie HD. iPhoto then showed a blank library to my horror. Once I got the Lacie back on, I couldn't seem to point it to that library again. I re-imported the library but couldn't locate any of the files. I tried using Spotlight to locate them, but found nothing. (Except a few individual files from the original iPhoto Library still on my Lacie. To make things worse, once I uploaded the original library into iPhoto, my system hard-drive is now giving me errors that it is too full. I have 30GB but can only account for 19 even running "WhatSize" software. I ejected my Lacie drive and opened iPhoto and was still able to browse the photos, but I can't find them with the finder nor spotlight.
My Question is:
Is iPhoto saving my files in a hidden directory? Would this be why Spotlight won't index them (i added comments, in iPhoto, to search for them, but could never find them). My system hard-drive says it has 405MB free, but where is iPhoto storing all those photos?!!
I have a PowerMac G4 Dual 450MHz with Lacie External HD
