iPhoto not loading my video

Hi, I took some photos and a video and iPhoto 6 will only load the pictures and not the video.

I deleted the preferences file but no change and then I tried to do the thing where you move the Albums folder and Albums xml file to desktop but I could only find the xml file and no Albums folder.

Ive not had a problem loading videos before, so Im not sure what the problem is.

Please help!

And if there is another way to get the video onto my laptop without using iPhoto please let me know!
 
Have you successfully downloaded videos into iPhoto from that specific camera before, or is this the first time you've done a video with that camera?
