iMac G5, Tiger, iPhoto 6
In our lab we have an iMac with 5 iPhoto libraries in the same user account. Today after having imported pictures from a camera and renamed the film roll the pictures seemed to have disappeared. The thumbnails were all there, but when clicked on only a grey area with white outlines was shown. The images were all in the Originals folder so nothing had disappeared except iPhoto could not find them. I tried rebuilding the iPhoto library which didn't help. Luckily it was a new library with only 2 rolls imported so I could drag them out of the originals folder and reimport them, but I am still interested in what might have caused this - it would not be so fun if it happened to one of the larger libraries. Can anyone please offer an explanantion and maybe some advice how to avoid this happening again?
