iPhoto using only thumbnails

Hello,
I am running Max OSX v10.4.11 and iPhoto v6.0.6 (322).

I loaded photos into iPhoto which are approx 2MB each. However, I had a disk crash some time ago and have re-built my photos etc.

Now, when I look at my photos, they are all only 32K, not 2MB. Also, there is at least 2 copies of them on the disk when I search for them in the Finder.

What has happened and how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Stay out of the finder. You do not access your photos there. iPhoto organizes that folder so that it can find things for you when you use the app. The 3 versions are needed -- one is the thumbnails so that iPhoto can load quicker, one is the Modified folder that keeps up with all photos that you have modified in any way, and one is the Original version which iPhoto keeps so that you can revert a modified photo back to the original to start your editing over.

Do anything and everything to/with your photos from within the app itself, and forget that the Library in finder even exists. You and your photos will be much happier.
