i burn my photos, from iphoto 6, onto a cd and it looks fine. but when i take the disk to develop or put the disk into my husband's pc, the disk shows each photo 2 and 3 times. they are saved as jpg and jpeg files. i can't figure out how to ensure the pictures are only on the disk as one copy per picture. has anyone had this problem? how to i fix it?

I think what you are getting are the thumbnails, and maybe the "originals" and the "modified" photos. Try using the export command in iPhoto to export your photos to the desktop (or even a folder on the desktop). Then burn from there. I have done this, and it works great. Even preserves the titles, etc.
