The issue I'm facing is that i can see some of my photos, but when I click on them to show them full screen they I get a blank photo frame with an exclamation mark in the middle.

These photos won't print.

Other photos I can see and show full screen and they will print.

I'm thinking of re-installing iPhoto to see if this will solve the problem.

Two questions:-

How do I re-install iPhoto, and,

Am I correct in assuming that it will leave the photos intact. (I'm assuming it will, but don't want to lose 8,000 photos

Thanks

Stephen

If you put the Mac OSX cd 1 in your computer while Mac OSX is booted up and then double click install additional software (or something to that effect) then just follow the step-by-step instructions. Also, half way through there should be a button on the bottom left called advanced or something like that where you can choose the software you want to uninstall/reinstall/install.

I'm not too sure whether it will leave you photo's intact or not but I sure hope so! I would back it up first no matter what people say because you don't want to risk loosing all those photo's.
