ipod 80 gb errors... (synchs music but not video)

Hi

can anyone help? I have a new 80 gb ipod which will not update and I get unknown error messages 48 and 208! I have tried to restore and update on my macbook pro, should I send it back, this is my first ipod

It will sync with music and podcast only, will not with photos and will not play music video
 
Sounds like you should send it in, although I haven't seen an iPod refuse updates like that and still work fine for music...
 
Thank you for the reply, the first time that I connected it loaded some photos but some were corrupted, I then restored and tried to update with the above error messages!

The music video that I have recently purchased does not want to play within i tunes as well. I have reinstalled itunes but have the same problem, would you still send it back?

I cannot update my new ipod video and it will only sync with music and podcasts? I have restored it on a number of occasions? It will also not play music video as well. I get error 48 every time I try to sort the problem. I have researched this on various sites, can you help or should I send it back!

I've merged your new thread of today with your old one. Please don't create new ones, when you have a perfectly fine old one. ;)

If the problem seems to be with the _video_, I'd take that video out of iTunes and try with a known good one. If that doesn't work, send it in, yes.
