iPod Bluetooth Options

Hello everyone,

For someone who wants to be able to put their ipod in their backpack or pocket or whatever and listen to music without wires... What options are there?

The iPhone will come with bluetooth enabled, so I assume there won't be any bluetooth enabled ipods anytime soon.. Are there other options?

Thanks for any help!

Just guessing, but I think you are wanting something like this. I've never used them, and they are expensive, but they will get you what you want to achieve. Can't vouch for sound quality, either - Google found this review.

Wow I'm surprised there are no solutions for this now.

The iPhone will have bluetooth, and of course also functions as an iPod, so I guess that's one way to go.

A bit pricey though if the main usage is going to be for music...

Does anyone else have a way to listen to their ipod on wireless headphones?

Well, I don't listen to iPods wirelessly, but there are a few solutions. Just get something that either attaches to the dock, or to the headphone plug with no remote control.

The cheapest option seems to be an FM transmitter, like the Griffin iTrip (Dock).

It appears that a Bluetooth option would be the TEN Technology naviPLAY, also distributed by Motorola.

I guess you could try doing a product search for "iPod video wireless" or "iPod video bluetooth" to find these things.

The iTrip would require the "wireless headphones" to have an FM receiver, though. Not quite what he's asking for. -> http://www.macally-europe.com/productpage.php?product=1058 (BlueWave) should do the trick. This one as well: http://www.hellomoto-shop.ch/lshop,...FLN1953,,Tshowrub--accessoires.bluetooth,.htm ... Those things aren't cheap, and I wonder whether you're really willing to skip the quality and comfort of your favourite headphones for something you have to charge separately. A wire from the backpack is not _that_ uncomfortable. It might be cheaper to get an additional iPod shuffle for comfort (wear it on your clothing)...
