iPod @compUSA

I went down to the local CompUSA store to see if they had the iPods in stock. As soon as I got one in my hands, I knew I'd be going out the door with one. Among all the cheap feeling smaller mp3 players, and the bigger, bulkier HD based mp3 players was this small, sleek looking player. It's real close in size to the rio players that I've looked at- albeit heavier. After playing with it in the store for a while, I picked one up to buy. At the register I got the pitch about the "extended warranty" which I usually pass on. But, the clerk informed me that they consider the iPod a "mass storage device" and not a PDA equivelant- so the warranty cost went from being $120 for a two year replacement, to only $30. If I drop it, break it, or in any way damage it, I bring it back to the store and they replace it on the spot for two years. I'm not usually impressed with compUSA, but in this case I am. Now, I can't wait for the battery to charge!
