I backed up all of my mp3 files to my iPod a while ago so that I could perform a clean install, but now iTunes doesn't seem to let me copy the files back into my Library.
You'll need to get a 3rd party utility that will allow you to copy them back off. Apple did that to prevent pirating music with the iPod. if you go to ipodhacks.com and read through the forum I'm sure you'll find the program you need.
