iPod help

hey guys

has anyone ever experience their iPod getting stuck thinking that is connected to the firewire cable? my computer crashed while i was transferring songs to the iPod and now the damn thing won't get outta that mode. I have tried unplugging it and plugging it back in over and over, with no luck..... ive tried relaunching iTunes with it connected. ive also tried restarting the whole computer with it attached.... anyone have any suggestions?

as a result of being stuck, it doesn't shut itself down after the designated time.... is there a manual way to shutdown an iPod??
 
I think somebody was talking about this the other day. Can't remember the exact solution. Try browsing some recent iPod posts and I'm sure you'll find it.
 
thanks... i found a fix for the problem in the PDA forum.... i don't know why i didn't look there in the first place... sorry to bother everyone
