Ipod Line in Audio Recording - Please clear this up!

Hi all,
I am a professional DJ / Producer, i love my PB and i want to purchase the new ipod because I heard that it supports Audio Line in recording, (to record my live sets from the back of the club mixer) - when ive looked for the definitive answer on this, it becomes a little shady, can anyone please just tell me , does it support this function either with some form of dock/adapter or out of the box..

The video iPod supports voice recording in 44.1KHz.

As far as I know, that could mean that someone could make an adaptor that would record a line-in signal in 44.1KHz, but so far, an adaptor such as that does not exist.

I would not base my purchase of an iPod on speculation, though.
