My ipod is 3 months old, and worked well for 2 months. Now, although it still charges, it suddenly won't sync. I get the following kinds of messages: "Cannot sync ipod as you do not have privileges to make changes" and "Cannot add <song>: unknown error" and "Back up your disk and reformat as soon as possible"
I can't reformat it, because the disk utilities application won't recognise that it's there (it does initially, but as soon as I put away all the error notices that come up when it's plugged in, it disappears from the disk list).
Any idea what's happened? And how I can fix it?
